Set up Anki sync
Connect your Anki app to the class server so your studied words show up in tests.
On your computer
- In Anki, open Tools → Preferences → Syncing.
- Set the custom sync server URL to
https://anki.recurse.click/sync/ - Restart Anki so the new server URL takes effect.
- Click Sync and log in with the password you were assigned.
- On your first sync, choose “Upload to server” so your collection becomes the source of truth.
After that first upload, syncing works normally in both directions.
On phones and tablets
- AnkiDroid (Android): Settings → Sync → Custom sync server; set both the
collection and media URLs to
https://anki.recurse.click/sync/, then sync and log in. - AnkiMobile (iPhone/iPad): Settings → Syncing → Self-hosted sync server;
set the URL to
https://anki.recurse.click/sync/, then sync and log in.
Use the same “Upload to server” choice on the first sync from whichever device has your cards.
